How much tungsten tape do I need?

Each roll is 60 inches of tungsten tape that you cut to length, in either 0.5 g per inch or 1 g per inch. Add a little at a time, hit with it, then adjust: small amounts at the top of the paddle change swing weight much more than the same weight near the handle.

Why use tungsten tape instead of lead tape?

It is tape, but it is tungsten rather than lead. Tungsten is denser, so the same weight takes up less room on the paddle, and you are not handling lead to tune a paddle. You still cut it to length and move it until the balance is right.
