what do weights actually do
adding weight helps stabilize your paddle and change how it plays.
top of the paddle. adds more power on drives, overheads, and putaways.
sides (3 and 9 o’clock). increases stability and gives you a bigger, more forgiving sweet spot.
near the throat. adds overall stability while keeping your hands fast.
small adjustments can make a noticeable difference once you dial it in.
where should i place cookiegrips x SLYCE SLYDRS™
not sure where to start? try a few different setups and see what feels best.
top. more power.
sides. more forgiveness and stability.
throat. more control with quicker hands.
start with one setup, play a few games, then adjust. small changes go a long way.
how do they attach
they clamp onto your paddle’s edge guard and tighten with two screws. a tool is included so you can secure them easily.
what paddles do they work with
they fit most 14mm and 16mm paddles.
will they damage my paddle
no. they are designed to grip the edge guard without scratching or damaging it.
will they fall off during play
no. once tightened, they stay in place. if you are swinging hard, it is a good idea to check them occasionally and retighten if needed.
can i move them around
yes. you can reposition them and test different setups until it feels right.
how much weight do they add
they come in 3g, 5g, and 7.5g options so you can choose what works best for you.
which weights are most popular
most players go with 3g and 5g setups.
3g. a lighter, more subtle adjustment.
5g. adds noticeable power and stability without feeling too heavy.
who are these for
power. players looking for more putaway strength.
control. players who want more stability and consistency.
tuning. anyone who likes dialing in their setup.
or honestly, anyone who wants their paddle to feel better.
why not just use lead or tungsten tape
you can, and a lot of people do.
cookiegrips x SLYCE SLYDRS™ give you a quicker way to adjust and experiment with your setup. some players use them to dial things in, then switch to tape once they find what they like.
do i need to maintain them
not really. just check that they are tight once in a while.
